Tehran Declaration and Programme of Action on
Human Rights and Cultural Diversity
This Declaration was adopted at the Non-Aligned Movement Ministerial Meeting on Human Rights and Cultural Diveristy, held in Tehran, 3 and 4 September 2007. Ministers expressed their commitment to protect human rights (preservation of cultural identity), to promote tolerance, cultural diversity as an asset and enrichment or mankind, sharing of common values but cultural diversity should be recognised and respected: essential for a dialogue to take place. Racism stereotyping and discrimination should be fought.
